Donald Trump’s hardline stance on immigration is absurdly ironic given his family history.
His grandfather, Friedrich Drumpf (later changed to Trump), came to the United States, illegally, from Germany in 1885 when he was 16 years old. When he tried to return to Germany years later, they told him to take a hike. He’d left Germany without properly registering his emigration and failed to complete his required military service. German authorities ultimately ordered him to get the fuck out and never come back. His appeal was rejected, and he returned to the United States with his family… illegally… again.
So, the Trump family legacy begins, in part, with an immigrant who came to America looking for opportunity.
Sex Gold for Cash
During the Klondike Gold Rush, Friedrich Trump headed north to Canada, where he and a business partner began a brothel/restaurant business called the Arctic Restaurant and Hotel in the Yukon. It was the kind of place that catered to thousands of gold miners coming to get their loot. Grandpa Drumpf offered food, lodging, liquor and, the main reason men went there — prostitution. Drumpf was a pimp. But, we’ll stick with “businessman” for now. Miners were flooding into the region chasing their fortunes, and Friedrich Drumpf figured out something that would become a recurring theme in the family story.
The miners often paid in gold dust. Drumpf’s business was positioned to take advantage of the rush without actually having to risk his life digging in the ground. He realized he didn’t necessarily have to find the gold himself, he just had to offer these depraved men services they couldn’t refuse and take the gold they already found.
He was, in a very literal sense, mining the miners.
Back to the United States… Illegally… Again
That money became part of the foundation of the Trump family fortune. Friedrich eventually returned to New York, illegally again, and invested in real estate. His wicked son, Fred Trump, expanded that fortune into a substantial real-estate empire. Donald Trump was then born into that wealth, received financial support from his father, and inherited not only money but an established business network and a recognizable family name.
Donald Trump’s mythology has always been built around the idea that he was some great businessman who made himself into a billionaire through sheer talent and determination. But, that’s laughably untrue.
The reality is considerably less romantic.
He was born with a silver spoon and a gold spoon in his mouth. He had a father who was already a successful developer. He had access to financial resources and connections that most people could never dream of having. He then turned the family name into a global brand—and eventually into a political movement.
And yet, somehow, this is the same family whose political heir built one of the most aggressive anti-immigration movements in modern American politics.
Trump has spent years telling Americans that immigrants are a threat, that the border must be sealed, and that people who come to this country outside the legal system don’t belong here. But any human being with a brain understands this is a lie. America is and always has been, a melting pot.
And let’s not forget, without immigration, there is no Trump family story. His immigration stance isn’t really about immigrants. It’s about Black and Brown immigrants, because Donald’s a racist garbage human being with a long history of receipts to back it up.
His grandfather was an illegal immigrant. His father was the son of an illegal immigrant. The fortune that ultimately gave Donald Trump the platform to become a famous businessman and, eventually president, began with a German teenager who came to America looking for opportunity… illegally.
A Pimp Without Risk
Friedrich Drumpf saw a gold rush and didn’t become a gold miner. He became a glorified pimp who made money from the people chasing the gold. He sold them what they needed while they took all the risks. That business model—exploiting women to profit from the rush rather than participating in it—has an oddly familiar ring to it.
Maybe the real family tradition was never about digging for gold.
Maybe it was about finding the people who were desperate to get rich and figuring out how to make money from them. Much like MAGA today. The pitiful wretches of America.
Probably the most American thing of all, actually. Arrive as an immigrant, build a fortune around a gold rush, inherit the fortune, turn the family name into a brand, and then spend your political career telling everyone else to stay out.
The irony.
The Soulless Man Adorned in Gold
Trump’s public image has long been wrapped up in displays of wealth. Smothered in gold lettering, gilded interiors, oversized monuments to himself, and an almost ridiculously theatrical obsession with the appearance of luxury. His grandfather’s fortune, meanwhile, was first accumulated by catering to men who had traveled to the Yukon chasing gold.
The symmetry is pathetically Shakespearean.
One generation follows the gold rush.
The next builds buildings with gold-colored walls.
And the generation after that runs for president promising to keep immigrants from entering the country that gave the family everything, while raping women and fucking kids, because he feels he is immune to consequences. His name appearing in the Epstein files more times than God’s name does in the Bible. A man who only made it to the top because he paid his way there through bribery and blackmail.
He turned the immigrant experience into a political weapon while benefiting from the very system of opportunity that immigration represents.
The Trump family story is, at its core, an American story. It’s about an immigrant arriving, finding opportunity, taking advantage of an economic boom, building wealth, and then passing that wealth down to his children and grandchildren.
There’s nothing uniquely shameful about that.
What’s shameful, is watching the miscreant grandson of that immigrant turn around and tell millions of other people that they should not get the same chance because he’s jealous of their tan.
And if there’s one lesson buried in the Trump family history, perhaps it’s that when everyone else is rushing toward the gold, don’t waste your time digging.
Sell them the shovel.
Then inherit the shovel company.
Put your name on the shovel.
And eventually seek out the dumbest group of people you can find and convince them that you invented gold.

So he's the son of a son of an illegal. If birthright citizenship ended he'd have to get TF out himself. Of all the possible endings to ponder, Trump getting hauled off by ICE to spend months in a detention center before being deported to a dangerous foreign country... very satisfying.
Pssst: sex with minors….
