This argument happening here on Substack is disturbing and I'm ending it. It's fucked that people are still going back and forth like this is up for debate. The line has been drawn clearly, over and over. There is no more discussion to be had.
IT IS WHAT IT IS. Accept it.
Children cannot consent to sex with adults. Period. End of story.
The argument isn’t that they can’t consent because they’re incapable of having feelings, curiosity, crushes or a developing understanding of their bodies.
No. They can’t consent because consent requires the capacity to understand what is happening, the power to make a genuinely voluntary decision, and the ability to understand the consequences of that decision. Children do not have the developmental, legal or social power of adults.
Somewhere along the way, patriarchal pedophiles and their subservient female enforcers, blurred the line. Well, let me fix that and tattoo it on your fucking foreheads now.
For generations, girls in particular have been taught that being desirable is part of their value — for some, it became the only thing they thought was their value. Adults commented on their bodies, their beauty, their sexuality and their “maturity” as though growing up means becoming sexually available.
Boys have been taught a different version of the same poisonous lesson. That pursuing, possessing or proving themselves thought sexuality is a measure of masculinity.
None of this makes children responsible for adult sexual behavior.
A child wearing makeup isn’t an invitation.
A teenager developing breasts isn’t an invitation.
A child knowing what sex is ISN’T consent.
A teenager having a crush isn’t consent.
A child identifying as mature isn’t consent.
And calling a child “fast,” “seductive,” “grown,” or “asking for it” doesn’t change the fundamental reality — the responsibility belongs to the ADULT.
We really need to stop pretending that sexualization becomes acceptable simply because a child looks older, acts older or has entered puberty. Children deserve the freedom to grow into their sexuality without being made responsible for pedophilic desires. Men do not own women or children no matter how bad they want to believe they do. Fuck that and fuck them.
Kids deserve curiosity without the risk of being exploited around every corner. They deserve to enter and understand puberty without sexualization. They deserve to have boundaries without negotiation. Children deserve a childhood without adults projecting their sexuality onto them.
There is nothing prudish about that.
It’s the bare fucking minimum.
Children can’t consent. Period.

No pressure. No guilt. Just me, asking nicely, with my hand out like a very earnest raccoon who writes controversial essays.
Thank you for being here. Seriously. You make this worth doing.

How is anyone having an issue with this? That should be a hard line that no one should be debating. Who the fuck is debating this?
Thanks for saying this. We have to keep drilling through the normalization of child rape that has been fused with American cultural identity. It's disgusting. Thanks for speaking out Eevie!
